February is often called the month of love, but as followers of Christ, love is not just a feeling we celebrate — it is a command we live.
In Matthew 22:37-39, Jesus teaches us that the greatest commandments are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind — and to love our neighbor as ourselves. Loving our neighbor isn’t optional; it is central to who we are as believers.
At Tuckaseegee Baptist Church, we say we want to Love God completely, ourselves correctly, and others compassionately. Loving our neighbor is how we put that into action.

Loving our neighbor means:
  • Showing kindness when it’s inconvenient.
  • Offering forgiveness when it’s difficult.
  • Meeting needs when we see them.
  • Serving without expecting anything in return.
  • Seeing people the way Christ sees them — with compassion and grace.

In John 13:35, Jesus says, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Our love is our witness. It is how our community sees Christ in us.

Love Month is a reminder that our faith should be visible. It should move beyond words and into action — through encouragement, generosity, prayer, service, and simple acts of care.

Imagine what could happen if every member of Tuckaseegee Baptist Church intentionally loved their neighbor this month:
  • Checking on someone who is lonely
  • Providing a meal for a family in need
  • Writing a note of encouragement
  • Praying for someone by name
  • Serving in our church and community

When we love our neighbor, we reflect the heart of Jesus. And when we love well, we shine His light in Stanley and beyond.
This Love Month, let’s commit to living out our mission — not just inside the church walls, but everywhere God places us.

Let’s love boldly.
Let’s love intentionally.
Let’s love like Jesus. ❤️
