John 7:14-24

Pastor Jason Marlowe

In chapter 7 John records two, seemingly different, conversations. One with Jesus and his brothers (v.v.1-9) and another with Jesus and the Jews at the Temple (v.v.14-52.) Each of the conversations reflect unbelief on the part of Jesus’ audience. Jesus’ brothers believe in what Jesus can do—they miss who he is. The Jewish leaders deny the signs as evidence of God’s work and instead condemn Jesus for not living up to their expectations.
