Psalm 126, Joy in the Journey

We often think the Christian life is something to endure—a long road of obedience now in hopes of joy later. But Psalm 126 reminds us that the journey of discipleship is marked by joy, not because life is easy, but because God is faithful. Our joy is rooted in what He has done, what He is doing, and what He has promised to do.

Christian joy isn't the absence of hardship but the presence of hope. It is the fruit of the Holy Spirit, rooted in God's faithfulness rather than our circumstances.

We find joy by remembering what God has done, trusting what He is doing, and looking forward to what He has promised to do.

But where does that kind of joy come from? Psalm 126 answers that question. The joy of God's people is rooted in the blessings of God.
