Psalm 132, God at the Center
Aug 23, 2026
As the pilgrims recited this psalm, and as we read it again today, we’re not simply admiring the past—we are remembering God’s faithfulness in the past to strengthen our faith in Him in the present. Just as this psalm would have been a reminder of the importance of making God the center of their lives then, and a reminder that God is not meant to be kept on the margins of our lives but at the center.
The psalm speaks to the extraordinary lengths that God went through to dwell with His people, and it begs the question: why are His people so easily satisfied to live with so little awareness of His presence?
